FAQ
Questions
What does "use it for life" mean?
You pay once and your license never expires. Every 1.x update is free. If our license service ever shut down, we would release an update that no longer needs it, so Revolwheel keeps working.
How do "any 2 apps" (or 3, or 4) work?
Buy the number of apps you want, then install Revolwheel for the apps you choose and enter the same license key in each. The key unlocks the first apps you activate it in. Need to switch an app later? Write to us.
Is there a Mac version?
Not yet. Revolwheel runs on Windows 10 and 11.
Will the files I export look different?
No. Revolwheel only runs the Adobe app's own commands, dialogs and presets, so every file is written by the app itself with its own settings, the same as choosing the command from the menu.
Windows says "Windows protected your PC" when I run the installer.
Revolwheel is new, and Windows SmartScreen warns about software it has not seen many times yet. Click More info, then Run anyway. The installer only adds Revolwheel and small startup scripts for your Adobe app; you can remove it any time from Settings › Apps.
Does it need an internet connection?
Only to activate your license and for a short check every couple of weeks. Between checks it works offline.
How many computers can I use it on?
Two. To move it to a new computer, deactivate it on one of the old ones from Revolwheel's settings.
What happens when the trial ends?
The circle stops working until you enter a license key. Your chambers and settings stay as they were.
Can I turn the sounds and effects off?
Yes. Spin, lights and sparks, the firing effect and the sounds each have their own setting in Customize.
After Effects: why does it recommend a scripting preference?
With Edit › Preferences › Scripting & Expressions › Allow Scripts to Write Files and Access Network turned on, Revolwheel opens with After Effects without a prompt and responds instantly. Without it, it still works, but each command takes about a second.
